Step 1: Register with Agent Institute and Study

Course registration is easy and secure. Pre-License Courses are 100% online and 100% TREC Approved. Agent Institute has partnered with 360Training to deliver your online education. You are required to complete 4 mandatory courses and 2 electives for a total of 180 hours. However, if you have 4 college credit hours in approved courses, you will only be required to complete 4 mandatory courses for a total of 120 hours.

We offer 2 Pre-License Packages: Each package includes everything you need to satisfy TREC educational requirements. By purchasing one of these packages you will receive a FREE Online Exam Prep.

180 hour package for $768.00 (without college credit hours) and
120 hour package for $512.00 (with college credit hours)

Step 2: Apply with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC)

After you have completed all of your TREC required courses, send a copy of your college transcript (s) , (if any) along with your Agent Institute Training Certificates to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) to be evaluated. This is a required step before you can submit an application for your license. Also, there is a $20.00 fee for this evaluation by TREC. This evaluation is good for one (1) year. You will receive a letter from TREC about a week later stating that you have completed the educational requirements and you can now submit an application for an agents license (salesperson license). Visit the Texas Real Estate Commission website to obtain the Real Estate Salesperson Application.

Step 3: Take the State Exam

Once your application has been received , processed and accepted, a Candidate Information Brochure (CIB) will be mailed to you within 48 hours. License examinations are administered by PSI. The CIB will provide all the information and instructions for making a reservation to take the examination. The CIB also contains study material and instructions about licensing.
Good Luck.
